Skateboard:

Skateboarding is an exciting and exhilarating activity that anyone can learn, regardless of age or skill level. If you're just starting out, it can be daunting to know where to begin. But fear not, because this beginner's guide will take you through the basics of skateboarding step by step. Choosing the Right Skateboard: The first step to getting started with skateboarding is choosing the right board. There are various types of skateboards available in the market, but the most common type is a street skateboard. A typical street skateboard comprises a wooden deck, trucks, wheels, bearings, and grip tape. Consider factors like deck size, wheel hardness, and truck type while choosing your skateboard. How to Tune Up Your Skateboard

How to Tune Up Your Skateboard

Skateboarding can be an exciting hobby that provides physical and mental health benefits, but it can also be dangerous without proper safety equipment and skills. If you’re new to skateboarding or have taken a break from the sport, this guide will help you get back on your board with confidence by teaching you how to tune up your skateboard so that it’s ready to ride safely and securely.

Keep the weight balanced

One of the most common causes for a skateboard being difficult to ride is that it has too much weight on one end. This can be caused by a variety of things, but if you're having trouble with any tricks involving balancing then there's a good chance this is the problem. To fix this, grab your skate tool and take off some of the weight from the back of the board.

Keep The Wheels in Alignment

-You want to start by loosening the axle bolt. You can do this by using an allen wrench.

-Next, you should use a skate tool or needle nose pliers in order to pinch the center of the wheel hub together. This will help you adjust how much grip is on your board and make it easier for you to turn. -Now, tighten up the axle bolts by using your allen wrench again. The wheels should now be properly aligned and ready for riding!

Buy New Bolts and Trucks

Older skateboards are not as sturdy and can break more easily. If you notice that your board is in need of some repair, it's time for an upgrade. To tune up your skateboard, all you need is a few new bolts and trucks. Bolts are the metal screws that attach the truck to the deck, while trucks are the part of the board where your foot attaches.

Replace The Grip Tape

Before you can replace the grip tape on your skateboard, you need to remove the old tape. The easiest way to do that is by using a razor blade or some other sort of blade. I like using a razor blade because it's really easy, and it doesn't require any sort of special equipment.

Clean & Lube Your Bearings

1. Remove the wheels from the skateboard. 2. Clean the wheels with a rag and rubbing alcohol, paying close attention to the axle (the metal piece that runs through the center of each wheel). 3. Lubricate all bearings on your board with skate lube by inserting a few drops into each bearing opening and spinning them for about ten seconds. 4. Put your wheels back on and you're done!

Buy New Bushings

New bushings are a common way to refresh your skateboard. New bushings will make the board feel more responsive, which makes it easier for you to turn. You can purchase new bushings by unscrewing the old ones and inserting the new ones into the truck. There are different bushing shapes, each designed for a specific skateboarding discipline.
